Wayne State University partners with select universities to offer a 3+2 program. Students enrolled in this program study for three years at their home university, earning a bachelor's degree upon completion, and then study at Wayne State for two years to earn a master's degree.
To enroll in the 3+2 program, you must meet all the academic and legal requirements of both your home institution and Wayne State and apply. Scholarship opportunities are available for up to five entering students per semester per university.
- Currently be enrolled in a participating 3+2 university and have completed three years of undergraduate study with a specialization in an engineering discipline or computer science
- Have a minimum 2.75/4.0 GPA
- Submit a minimum TOEFL (iBT) score of 550 written or 79 online or IELTS of 6.5
- Two (2) letters of recommendation
All international applicants on F-1 visas must provide a financial guarantee to show evidence that they have sufficient funds available for their studies before the application can be processed. Students participating in our 3+2 program are eligible to receive $3,000 per term (up to 4 terms) while completing the M.S. degree.
I-20 and visa information
Upon admission into Wayne State University, an I-20 will be mailed to you from Wayne State. Students should receive their I-20 in the mail within 2-3 weeks of admission.
Students are responsible for applying for their visa at their nearest U.S. Consulate.
Official document language
All official documents including your official transcripts, English proficiency test scores, financial affidavit, etc. must be provided in both English and your native language.
