Data science and visualization academy
The data science and visualization academy will bring exposure to state-of-the-art visualization, machine learning and data science tools to high school students. We aim to stimulate curiosity in the fast-moving field of machine learning, advances in visualization, and the exciting discipline of prescriptive analytics. With a gentle approach to theoretical foundations, the focus will be on improving empirical and critical thinking skills through real-world problems and case studies. By the end of the one-week program, students will not only be exposed to key data science techniques such as data visualization and data wrangling but will also be exposed to modern machine learning methodologies, which are all building blocks for today's AI and analytics fields. Students will work with some state-of-the-art visualization tools and play with modern data science computing software based on real-life case studies.
