Continuation of ARC Project Grant

In December 2020, ISE Professor Saravanan Venkatachalam received a continuation grant from the Automotive Research Center (ARC) for project 1.30 “Novel Data-Driven Algorithms for Autonomous Vehicle Path Planning Problems with Uncertain Data Parameters.” The project, which began in 2019, aims to develop offline high-level planning algorithms for employing ground vehicles. As described in its project summary, Dr. Venkatachalam’s research explores the following fundamental questions: “How to estimate the sensitivity of the solutions obtained during offline planning, and what are the quick recourse (online) solutions in the event of deviations in the resources availability and environments?” Dr. Venkatachalam’s project received an approved funding level of $87,751.
