Ayman Mansour

a doctoral student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, won the Best Poster Award Competition at the 2012 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Southeastern Michigan Section Fall Conference held at the University Of Michigan-Dearborn, Nov. 14, 2012. Mansour's research addressed a significant real-world medical problem - early identification of unknown adverse drug reactions, which causes thousands of deaths a year in the U.S. His innovative approach uses distributed artificial intelligence via computer network. Mansour is working under the supervision of Professor Hao Ying. Mansour is a member of the IEEE Honor Society (HKN), Sigma Xi, Tau Beta Pi Honor Society, Golden Key Honor Society and National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).
