Tapan Datta

was the principal investigator on a project funded by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to evaluate the benefits of centerline rumble strips on rural highways. Datta led an evaluation of Michigan's centerline rumble strips to determine their impact on driver behavior and traffic crashes, as well as to guide future implementation of centerline rumble strips across the state and nationally.
