Academic support

There are multiple places to go for assistance if you are struggling inside of the classroom. All of these resources are FREE.

  • Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honors Fraternity): The TBP group offers tutoring for math, science, and especially, engineering courses. They are made up of Engineering Honors students, and are available for assistance by visiting the TBP office on the 2nd floor of the Engineering Building. For more information, email:  tbpoffs@eng.wayne.edu
  • Math Resource Center: Free Drop-in tutoring for math courses
  • Chemistry Learning Center: Chemistry tutoring and organized group study space
  • STEM Commons: Peer mentoring and Group study space for students majoring in STEM fields
  • Note that STEM commons will relocate to the under-construction STEM building on campus. Anticipated construction was Fall 2020, hopefully that is still on track due to COVID
  • Academic Success Center (ASC): Tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, Peer and professional Mentoring available across a wide range of subjects
  • Emerging Scholars Program (ESP): 2 credit hour workshops that students can take in addition to their regular math course.
