Provides a strong academic foundation in computer science. The program is designed for students whose primary interest is in the study of computers and computer systems, and is the recommended preparation for those interested in pursuing graduate studies in computer science or for those who are interested in research. Mathematics is required to a level commensurate with the prerequisites of many advanced computer science courses.

Educational Outreach

Wayne State students pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science may have the option of taking classes at the Schoolcraft Center or Macomb's ATEC building. If you would like to schedule an academic advising appointment at Macomb's University Center or Macomb's ATEC building with Colleen McKenney or schedule an academic advising appointment with Stephanie Chastain at Schoolcraft's Jeffress Center, please call the Computer Science Main Office at 313-577-2477. At this time, we are unable to schedule appointments via WAMS at Wayne State's Extension Centers.
