LETTER FROM THE CHAIR: FALL 2016
Dear Students, Faculty, Alumni, and Friends of the ISE Department,
Welcome back! I hope that each and every one of you had a wonderful summer and were able to enjoy some relaxation, time with family and friends, and fun. The ISE Department remained very busy over the hot summer; from running our diverse selection of courses, to creating new programs and processes, to the advancement of a number of department initiatives and efforts you will read about in this newsletter. The fall promises to be another great semester, and we continue to see the department expand and prosper. We have increased our course offerings, and we continue to provide top notch faculty instructors dedicated to generating knowledge and scholarship. As a department who loves to stay ahead of the curve, we continue to strive to be innovative in delivering the best education possible for our growing student population. We are always seeking new opportunities for our students to develop and gain experience. You will see some glimpse of this in the following articles, and even more as we progress through the 2016/2017 academic year. We look forward to growing together, and I remain confident that the ISE Department will set the bar for quality education in Michigan and beyond.
