M.S. in Civil Engineering, WSU

Ms. Monds attended parochial schools in the City of Detroit. She enjoyed a 34-year engineering career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District. After spending close to three years in the intern program, she worked in the Great Lakes Hydraulics and Hydrology Office for the remainder of her career. The highlights of her career included being a forecaster of Great Lakes water levels and the data manager for the Detroit District’s proprietary

Ms. Monds is a lifelong learner. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University, a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Journalism and Screen Studies from the University of Michigan  - Dearborn. She is currently studying German and Greek and learning to play the cello. She lives in Pittsfield Township with her husband. They have two adult children.
