2011 Order of the Engineer and POET Ceremony

Congratulations, Graduates!

Wayne State University College of Engineering requests the honor of your presence at the Order of the Engineer and Professional Order of Engineering Technology (POET). The induction ceremonies will take place on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Community Arts Auditorium immediately following Engineering Commencement. The ceremonies are steeped in tradition at the College of Engineering. All graduates are invited to participate and can extend an invitation to family, friends and classmates. Faculty and staff will join in the celebration.

The attendance of graduates as well as three of their guests will receive complimentary admission. Additional guest are $25.00 per person. Inductees will receive an Order of the Engineer ring or POET pin, photograph of your induction, and a two-year WSU and Engineering Alumni membership.

A strolling buffet will be held in the Community Arts Auditorium atrium prior to the ceremony. Graduates will assemble before the start of the ceremonies, followed by the graduate processional and their induction. Dress is business casual. There is no need for graduates to dress in regalia.
