Civil engineering assistant professor's paper featured in Institute of Transportation Engineers journal

Stephen Remias, assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering, was recently published in the Institute of Transportation Engineers journal. Remias and his collaborators authored a piece titled "Using Real-Time Probe Vehicle Data to Manage Unplanned Detour Routes." The article focuses on sudden road closures and the usage of signals and digital signage to alert drivers to a detour. The data from the real time dashboards that track traffic data has led to improved responses to traffic issues, according to the article.
