Elly Maleski

biomedical engineering sophomore and Wayne State swimmer, was recognized on June 4 as she was voted to the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large teams for Division II. Maleski was selected to the Capital One Academic All-America® Division II Women's At-Large Second Team in her first year of eligibility (freshmen are not eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America accolades). She was a Five-time First Team All-American in 2014 having won a national title anchoring the 200 freestyle relay (1:31.64) that broke Division II record. Maleski also led off the second place 200 medley relay (1:40.93) and joined the second place 400 freestyle relay (3:21.99) . In addition, Maleski led off the third place 400 medley relay (3:42.68) and placed sixth in the 100 backstroke (54.94). She has a 3.86 cumulative G.P.A. in biomedical engineering honors.
