Engineers Week 2011 - UPDATED SCHEDULE

The Wayne State College of Engineering has a full week of events planned for the 2011 National Engineers Week, held Feb. 20-26. The week-long celebration recognizes the accomplishments of engineers, increases public awareness and encourages the study of science, technology, engineering and math.

Engineers Week, or E-Week, is usually held during either the week of George Washington's birthday (Feb. 22), or the week of President's Day (Feb. 15) to honor the first president of the United States who is also considered to be the first U.S. engineer.

Monday, Feb. 21 - "College of Engineering Day"

Tuesday, Feb. 22 - "Engineering Exploration Day"
FSAE Car Presentation and Video Games, noon to 1 p.m., EDC Auditorium
IEEE: GM Technical Seminar - 2 to 4p.m. - Manu. Eng. Open Bay
ASCE Paper Contest, 11 am to 3 p.m., Outside ASCE Room

Wednesday, Feb. 23 - "Professional Networking Day"
