Mahyar Nejad

a Ph.D. candidate in industrial and systems engineering, has accepted a tenure track position as an Assistant Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. He will join the ISE department in the fall of 2015 after graduating from Wayne State University this summer. At the University of Oklahoma, Mahyar will be involved in the interdisciplinary graduate program in Data Science and Analytics.

Mahyar's dissertation research focuses on overcoming barriers to vehicle electrification. His ongoing research has resulted in 10 papers in top-tier journals such as Transportation Science, IIE Transactions, and IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems (7 papers were published/accepted and 3 papers are under review). Mahyar received several best paper awards including: the 2014 INFORMS ENRE best student paper award, and runner-up awards for the 2014 POMS College of Sustainable Operations Best Student Paper Competition and the 2014 INFORMS Service Science Best Paper Award.
