Wayne State formula racing team booth attracts prestigious guests at Auto Show
PHOTO RELEASE (Jan. 20, 2012) - Wayne State University engineering students are taking part in the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) at Cobo Hall in Detroit. Thirteen members of the WSU Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (FSAE) team, along with their 2011 formula race car, are staffing a booth at the two-week event, promoting their team, the College of Engineering and Wayne State University.
WSU's Formula SAE team is composed of both undergraduate and graduate students from different engineering disciplines and many other majors. The team campaigns an open-wheel race car against other schools from all over the world. The competition tests the dynamic performance of the car as well as the collective technical knowledge of the team.
