Honors and Awards

  • Awarded the Department of Defense (DoD) Distinguished Service Award (2008- highest ranking DoD-lifetime scientific research award)-presented at Pentagon, Wash DC, by Secretary of Defense.
  • Awarded US Senate Proclamation Award(2008)-Dr. Bryziks scientific achievements recorded into the Congressional Record by Chairman of the Senate Armed Service Committee (Senator Carl Levin), and personal honor flag flown over the Congressional Capital to commemorate Dr. Bryziks receipt of this Senate Proclamation Award
  • Competitively selected for the United States Governments Distinguished Presidential Rank Award, the Nations highest award for science and technology-given personally to Dr. Bryzik at the White House Rose Garden by President George Bush (June 2004), with award including an honorarium of $50,000, and personal citing of Dr. Bryzik by President Bush for pioneering advanced military ground vehicle scientific research contributions.
  • Socius Collegi Award (2003), Wayne State University- Universitys award citing pioneering service and scientific achievement
