Research Interests
- Research and development of advance energy storage systems such as advance batteries, supercapacitors, and fuel cells for transportation application. Development of state of charge sensor for advance batteries. Development of solid state and conformal batteries for next generation of mobile devices.
- Development of advance materials for devices fro alternative energy sources and conversions, including solar, wind, geothermal, tidal and ocean waves, biomass, and nuclera power plants. Development of alternative magnetic materials for electric motors. Synthesis of new materials in extreme conditionn of pressure and temperatures. Development of
- Development of real-time characterization techniques for analysis of materials and devices, including but not limited to non-destructive testing, in-situ x-ray and neutron diffraction, in-situ optical and electro microscopy, spectroelectrochemistry, and sensors.
- Development of solid state hydrogen storage materials and systems for fuel cell applications.
Research Group
My research is currently is focused on the development of all silicon based advance solid state battery, including silicon anode, silicate cathode and solid state ceramic-type electrolyte.
My group is laso working on the development of novel sensor for monitoring battery state of charge.
