Biography

Dr. Ana Djuric received her B.Sc.M.E. (Dipl-Ing), in Mechanical Engineering, with specialization in Control Systems from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia, 1993. She her M.A.Sc. in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from University of Windsor, Windsor, Canada, 1999 and her PhD in Mechanical, Automotive and Materials Engineering form University of Windsor, Windsor, Canada, 2007.

At Wayne State, she has created the Industrial Robotics and Cobotics Learning and Research Lab (IRC-LRLab). IRC-LRLab targets fundamental and applied research in advanced automated systems. IRC-LRLab has been developed to support ET courses and help students to learn emerging technology and prepare to work in a highly advanced automated environment.

The lab is equipped with six industrial robots: Fanuc S430 iw, Fanuc LR Mate 200ic, Fanuc LR Mate 200id, Fanuc CR 4iA, Baxter and e.Do Comau robot. Two Fanuc robots are supported with 2D vison systems.

Three simulation and off-line programing software packages are available: Visual Components, Workspace LT and ROBOGUIDE. Five robotic courses are supported with many different robotic/cobotic laboratory exercises.

Dr. Djuric holds two FANUC Industrial Robotics Certificates:

  • Handling Tool Operations, Robot Programming and ROBOGUIDE Simulation
  • V-iRVison Operation and Programming-2D

The certificates are available through the ET 5800 Industrial Robots Programming course. Her current research is on modeling and simulating a work safe environment in the Covid- 19 Era.
