Biography

Dr. Gozde Tutuncuoglu is an Assistant Professor in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Before joining Wayne State, she was a researcher at Microsoft Quantum Labs in Delft, Netherlands, focusing on developing robust and scalable approaches for the realization of topological qubit devices. Prior to Microsoft, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology to study the thermoelectric properties of Si nanowires, electronic properties of Si nanowires and fabrication of nanowire transistors, with a special emphasis on reliability, scalability and device-to-device variation. She holds a Ph.D. from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, with her dissertation on "The Growth and Optoelectronic Properties of III-V Nanostructures" under the supervision of Prof. Anna Fontcuberta i Morral. Her research interests include nanoelectronics, novel computing devices, neuromorphic and quantum computing.
