The WSU Global Executive Track (GET) Ph.D. program offers a world-class, practitioner-oriented doctor of philosophy in industrial engineering designed for mid- and senior-level managers, executives, technical leaders, and entrepreneurs. While the formal degree is in industrial engineering, the GET program is more comprehensive and caters to all domains of engineering, engineering management and management science.
An advisory board comprised of an experienced group of industry leaders helps keep our innovative curricula up to date with industry needs and provides a learning experience that is flexible and highly customizable to students’ interests and specializations. Additionally, each GET student brings broad experience and dynamic interactions into the classroom, continually enriching one another’s learning experience.
Wayne State’s GET faculty are experts from a wide array of disciplines in business, cultural anthropology, global leadership and engineering. They lead lively debates and real case discussions that provide access to leading edge knowledge and contribute toward a Ph.D. experience that is unlike any other.
Our alumni call the Global Executive Track Ph.D. an exhilarating and intense experience, one that changed the way they think about leadership, global business, system improvement and problem solving.
