Programming for Autonomous Systems Certificate Program

Software for autonomous systems must simultaneously be able to deliver high speed responses, integrability of data from multiple types of devices (based on physics) and locations (some on board and some outside) of signal. LIDAR, radar and streaming video are all important technologies. This certificate will provide familiarity with codes, code architectures, cloud computing environments, hardware integrations and data services (closed and open-loop control, human machine interfaces (HMI) and heads-up displays) for execution of leading technologies. The certificate is focused on automotive applications, but context is provided for other autonomous technologies.

Format: completely online, 6-week courses
Engagement:  topical discussions on foundational course content, and current articles and media
Commitment:  approximately 5-10h per week; 30-60 hours total for the program
Assessments and certification: successful completion of weekly assignments earns a Certificate of completion from the College of Engineering at WSU (Wayne State University)

Technology requirement: Any laptop or smartphone with internet access

INDIVIDUAL ASSESSMENTS: Individual assessments are not timed and are multiple-choice questions.
