Praveen Ramteke, M.S. ’05, serves as the avionics networking lead for Blue Origin’s New Glenn program, where he oversees the end-to-end vehicle network architecture from design through deployment. With more than 20 years of experience in vehicle on-board network architecture and systems engineering, he specializes in developing high-reliability, safety-critical networks for aerospace, off-highway and automotive applications. At Blue Origin, Ramteke leads cross-functional teams spanning avionics software, hardware, safety, reliability and launch operations. His work supports the New Glenn program and previously contributed to NASA’s Artemis Program through Blue Origin’s National Team, advancing the design of a Human Landing System to return astronauts to the Moon. Earlier in his career, Ramteke spent over a decade at Caterpillar Inc., where he spearheaded network architecture development for heavy machinery and played a pivotal role in advancing key industry standards. Ramteke earned a master’s in electrical engineering from Wayne State University and a bachelor’s in electronics and communication engineering from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering in Mysuru, India. He is an active member of the SAE J1939 Truck Bus Control and Communications Network Committee and has contributed to several journal and conference publications focused on in-vehicle networking.
